A Columbian woman has been arrested after she was caught selling the virginity of her 12 young daughters for just 200 dollars each.
Margarita de Jesus Zapata Moreno was detained by the cops in Bogota earlier after one of her daughters contacted police over her mother's demand to get an abortion, News.com.au reported.
According to Colombian news site Semana, police have also arrested Cornelio Daza, who is the father of the pregnant daughter's child.
The 45-year-old mother, who has 14 children, would sell the girls' virginity once they reached 12 years of age and would then force them into prostitution to pay the bills.
Both Zapata and Daza are accused of carnal abuse of a minor under 14-years-old, and the enforcement of prostitution.
Zapata, who has denied all charges against her, can face up to 10 years if convicted.
