Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has revealed that he is 'possibly' missing the guidance of a permanent coach following his 6-3 6-2 loss to world number 46 Santiago Giraldo at Madrid Masters.

Murray, who split win with Ivan Lendl in March after a two-year partnership, said that he is possibly missing the leadership provided by his former coach.

According to the BBC, Murray said that when he stopped working with Lendl, who guided the Scot to US Open and Wimbledon titles, this had been sure to be the case for a few weeks.

Murray also added that he hopes to have a new coach 'soon', as he resumes his French Open preparations in Rome next week.

The world number eight got beaten by a Giraldo, who had never beaten a top-10 player before defeating Murray, after narrowly avoiding defeat against Nicolas Almagro in his tournament opener on Wednesday, the report added.
