Andy Murray's magnificent Wimbledon victory was officially the hottest topic on Facebook in the UK in 2013, according to reports.
According to the Daily Star, fellow Scot Sir Alex Ferguson's shock decision to retire as manager of Manchester United after 26 years and the release of the latest Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto video games also lagged behind Murray's SW19 triumph.
Other events in the top 10 included England retaining the Ashes over Australia in August, The X Factor returning to our screens and the Bedroom Tax being introduced in the UK, the report said.
While Murray's second Grand Slam victory was the hot topic in the UK the most talked about topic on the planet in 2013 was the election of Pope Francis in May, the report added.
