Pakistan party Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to anti-government protesters to end their sit-ins as a gesture of sympathy to the flood affected people of the country.

A statement released by Hussain said that Pakistan should be united in helping those affected by the rains and floods, adding that time has come to rise above political, ideological and all sorts of differences for larger national interest.

Meanwhile, landslides and flash floods have resulted in the deaths of 78 people in Pakistan, reports stated.
