Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that his visit to South Korea had laid the foundation for better ties between the two countries
"My Korea visit has laid the foundation for a relationship that 2 major Asian countries with shared values should have," Prime Minister Modi said on twitter.
"Talks with President Park Geun-hye were fruitful and will lead to stronger ties between our Nations. @bluehousekorea," he added.
The Prime Minister further said that India and South Korea have signed key agreements and Memorandums of Understanding that will deepen the ties between both sides.

Prime Minister Modi and President Park Geun-hye earlier held substantive discussions on areas of mutual interest.
They welcomed the rapid expansion and diversification of bilateral ties in recent years.
The two leaders also agreed to upgrade the bilateral relationship to a 'Special Strategic Partnership'.
