Nancy Reagan, the wife of former US president Ronald Reagan, passed away last night. She was 94 years old.
Known for her devotion during Ronald Reagan's eight years in the White House and decades outside it, Nancy died in her home in Los Angeles.
According to the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, Nancy's death was due to congestive heart failure.
In a statement provided by a spokeswoman for the foundation, Joanne Drake, Nancy will be buried at the presidential library next to her husband, who died in June 2004.
Meanwhile, tribute from across the globe poured in for Nancy.
U.S. president Barack Obama tweeted, "We remain grateful for Nancy Reagan's life."
Reagan is survived by two children Patricia Ann and Ronald Prescott and two step-children.
