External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government at the Centre has shown the world that it has a strong as well as a sensitive side.
"The present government has shown the world that we have two sides - a strong side and a sensitive side. If you want to look at the government's strong side, you can look at the stance that we took with Pakistan, when we cancelled the Foreign Secretary-level talks. Also, when dignitaries from China had visited India, we told them quite strongly that since we follow the one-China policy, they should also follow a one-India policy," she told a press conference here.
"Our government has shown its sensitive side. In three separate instances, citizens have been evacuated by India at points of conflict - namely Ukraine, Iraq and Syria," she added.
Swaraj, who recently returned after holding talks with the King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is scheduled to visit Afghanistan later this week.
