Kalpit Veerwal, who secured the ALL India Rank 1 in the JEE Main 2017 by scoring 360 out of 360 marks, said he never took studies as a burden.
"I never took the studies as a burden, but always remained motivated," said Kalpit.
Kalpit, who is the son of a compounder, gives credit of his success to teachers, parents, and elder brother.
After the results came out, teachers, relatives, friends and other citizens felicitated Kalpit by garlanding him at his residence.
Kalpit added that he always completed the homework and studied around five hours daily.
"I am now preparing for the JEE Advanced exams," he said.
Kalpit's proud father and mother said he had always been a sincere and intelligent student.
