StarChase, a tech-company that creates gadgets and gizmos for law enforcement purposes, has developed a new 007-style gadget launcher for police cars that will bring the unsafe high-speed chases to an end.
The device makes use of lasers to aim and shoot GPS trackers onto fleeing vehicles that transmits the suspect's coordinates every 3 to 5 seconds back to headquarters, the New York Daily News reported.
After receiving the location updates, cops can cautiously capture the suspect to evade dangerous pursuits.
Trevor Fischbach, president of StarChase, told the publication that the device does have parallels to the "whole James Bond sort of thing," but the difference is that their technology is actually saving lives and not just on the big screen.
