'Clown' Pennywise is here and he is ready to prey on your fears.
Warner Bros. and New Line Cinemas has released the first official trailer for Stephen King's highly anticipated 'IT.'
The preview opens with a young boy being given a homemade paper boat by his elder brother. The rain water takes the boat down a sewer and we get to see a glimpse of f the killer white-faced clown.
The kids are forced to square-off against the evil being when children begin to disappear in the town and they soon find out about the clown's history of murder and violence.
During the end of the trailer, the children see a woman's face in the family picture transform into the terrifying clown.
The upcoming movie is the first of a two-part adaptation of the 1986 novel, which was also turned into a mini-series in 1990, starring Tim Curry as the child-killing clown.
Helmed by Andres Muschietti, the film stars Bill Skasgard as Alfred Pennywise.
The kids are played by Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
The flick is slated to release on September 8.
