The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested a member of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit faction) in connection with Saralpara incident in Assam.
The accused, Sudem Narzary, was wanted in this case for his role in criminal conspiracy and execution of killings at Shantipur village in December 2014.
As many as 12 innocent villagers were killed and three seriously injured on December 23, 2014, in Shantipur village in indiscriminate firing by a group of NDFB (S) terrorists.
Earlier, the NIA of the Guwahati Branch arrested three terrorists of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit) in connection with the Shantipur - Saralpara incident.
Twenty-two-year old Armish Basumatary, 42-year-old Lothen Basumatary and 33-year-old Gangaraj Wary were wanted for their involvement in the criminal conspiracy and execution of the terrorist killings.
