Once a comedian, always is so.Nick Cannon broke his silence regarding his former flame Mariah Carey's engagement to Australian billionaire businessman James Packer with utmost humour.
Cannon took to Instagram to comment on the 45-year-old singer and the 48-year-old businessman's engagement, alongside an image of him lying on a hospital bed beside Kevin Hart, that bears the caption, "It's just a ring Nick," reports E! Online.
"Ha! This made me laugh out loud for real!!! HILARIOUS!" Cannon wrote. "#AllLove Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union... #GreatPeople #GreatCouple."
Packer proposed the Grammy-winning singer earlier this week with a 35-carat diamond engagement ring.
The 35-year old comedian had filed for divorce from Carey in December 2014 after six years of marriage. The two are parents to 4-year-old twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe. Packer, 48, split from second wife Erica Baxter, 38, in 2013. The two share three children.
