Nikki Haley, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, on Friday denied all the news about her becoming the future Secretary of State after Rex Tillerson, saying she is happy in happy in New York.
"I'm happy in New York," Halley was quoted as saying by CNN.
Asked if she is to be offered the secretary of state role by President Donald Trump, Haley retorted, it will not happen and if it does, then she would reject the offer.
"I would not take it, I want to be where I'm most effective," she said in an interview.
Haley, who is on a three-nation tour in Africa, also hinted on her relationship with Tillerson saying, "I see him at meetings just like I see everyone else."
Amid news of Rex Tillerson on his way out as President Donald Trump's secretary of state, speculations were being made that Haley might replace him to take the position of country's top diplomat.
According to media reports, Tillerson's repeated disputes with various parts of the Trump inner circle have made his long-term survival difficult, which may result in his exit, after he has served one full year in the role.
