Union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Friday questioned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's vision statement on participatory planning for next ten years, and said it appeared bizarre to him
"Here is a question that I would like to ask the Chief Minister of Bihar as to why he is talking about a vision statement when his tenure is coming to an end? This is the question that Mr. Kumar should address to the people of Bihar", Rudy told ANI
Kumar who has already rubbished the Rs 1.25 lakh crore package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi while campaigning in Bihar, calling it old wine in new bottle on Friday unveiled a Rs. 2.70 lakh crore development plan for the next five years that would include free electricity and drinking water connection to every household.
He alleged that most of the schemes that the PM announced are re-packaged plans with an eye on elections.
Kumar said his seven-point development plan was in addition to ongoing schemes in different sectors and pointedly said it is the Janata Dal (United)-RJD manifesto.
Touted as the world's largest campaign for participatory agenda, Bihar@2025 will collate ideas to produce a vision document on development for the state for the next decade.
Bihar@2025 aims to reach out to four crore people living in 40,000 villages of the state besides 10,000 government and civil society members.
Friday's seven-point development plan specially focuses on youth, women, the unemployed, young entrepreneurs and on infrastructure needs.
