Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday asserted that the work towards the merger of the Janta Parivar is in progress, adding there was no obstacle in its path of unison.
"For the unity of Janta Dal Parivar, there is no obstacle anywhere. We want to be united and we are united. This will happen," Lalu told ANI here.
"We have started working towards the merger and for this, [Samajwadi Party chief] Mulayam Singh Yadav has been given the authority," he added.
The Janta Parivar had staged a protest at the Jantar Mantar in the national capital in December against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government over issues of black money, unemployment, farmer issues and communal tensions in the country.
