There is no respite from the flood situation in Assam. Rains in catchment areas in neighbouring Bhutan have flooded parts of Bongaigaon and Chirang districts.
Over 84,000 people have been affected in Bongaigaon alone. Defence PRO said the army has been deployed in rescue mission at Chirang.
