Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accorded the highest priority for the development of North Eastern states.
"Prime Minister Modi has given the maximum priority for the development of the North East. Rs. 1.5 crore has been allocated for road construction in Assam. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is financing 23 projects for connectivity between Meghalaya, Tripura, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Tripura is seeing good roadways development along with the establishment of oil refineries and power projects," Gadkari said at the ANI-organised India Infracon 2018 conclave held here.
Gadkari further stated that developmental work has commenced in Arunachal Pradesh in a big way.
