Noted Marathi author and Sahitya Akademi awardee Anand Yadav has passed away at his residence in Pune. He was 80.
Yadav's autobiography 'Zombi' won him the Sahitya Akadmi award in 1991.
He also faced a major controversy over his book 'Santsurya Tukaram', written on Sant Tukaram, a 17th century saint poet from Maharashtra.
He was the author of around 40 books, including essays, poems, criticism among others.
