US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle organised a Bruno Mars concert on the White House South Lawn for the military on Fourth of July with some amazing fireworks.
The 53-year-old US President singled out service men and women who protect American freedom and praised America saying that it is the greatest country on earth, the Mirror reported.
Barack told hundreds of military families that American freedom comes at a cost as freedom is not free and it wouldn't have been possible without all the American military people.
The first African-American President added that he, his wife and daughters Malia, Sasha couldn't have been more privileged to got to know so many Americans, and to know all the sacrifices that Americans make on their behalf each and every day.
More than 1,600 fireworks were launched each minute from the five barges stationed along the river in a patriotic display of red, white and blue, and hundreds of thousands of people took to New York City's East River amid tight security for Macy's annual fireworks display.
America broke away from British rule in 1776 with the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
