Congress leader Milind Deora on Sunday said that Bollywood actor Salman Khan should have shown restraint before commenting on 1993 Bombay blasts convict Yakub Memon.
He further said that Salman has never disrespected the law.
"Known @BeingSalmanKhan for years. He's never disrespected the law/judiciary. Only wish he'd show restraint before commenting on such issues," Deora twitted.
"Spoke to @BeingSalmanKhan last evening & today. He doesn't believe Yakub Memon isn't guilty & was only spotlighting YM's brother's cowardice," he added.
Salman had earlier tweeted that Yakub Memon should not be hanged as the real culprit is the latter's brother Tiger Memon.
Yakub Memon has been sentenced to death for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
The Supreme Court had earlier this week rejected his last-minute appeal and upheld his hanging for July 30.
