Paris Saint Germain's dismal form has made Marquinhos say that they do not have any other option but to 'work' to overcome through this 'difficult moment'.
"It's a difficult moment, and it's only through work that we will be able to overcome it. I will get the message to the dressing room, because football is a collective job and we have no other choice," Goal.com quoted Marquinhos, as saying.
The defender's comments came after their recent 3-2 defeat in the hands Montpellier in the ongoing Ligue 1 on Tuesday. Moreover, they lost to Rennes on April 28 in the Coupe de France final on penalties after a 2-2 tie.
PSG atop the points table of Ligue 1 and are already champions of Ligue 1. However, their recent form has not been up to mark as they have lost five out of their six matches in all competitions.
Therefore Marquinhos emphasised that if they will continue to play like this, they will be subjected to criticism from fans.
"It's too easy to say that the season is over. We cannot continue to present a face like this, otherwise, we will take slaps from supporters and the media and give reason to our haters," Marquinhos said.
"When things go well, we win, it's easy. But we know our responsibilities here at PSG, a club loved by many people but also hated by many. We must stay united. We are PSG, we are the champion, We must take pleasure and give joy to people," he added.
PSG will now face OGC Nice on May 4 at the Parc des Princes.
