The Opposition parties in Maharashtra moved a no-confidence motion in the assembly on Monday against speaker Haribhau Bagde alleging bias.
Earlier in the day, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Jitendra Awhad said, "Opposition parties will bring No-Confidence Motion against Maharashtra legislative speaker as he is not willing to listen to us."
"Today, there was a discussion on Governor's speech and other issues, but no discussion was held, questions were not allowed," he added.
Joint opposition including Congress, NCP wrote to the Principal Secretary, Maharashtra Assembly and informed that Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade has lost the confidence of the House due to his biased and illegal conduct in the House, so we propose to remove him from his post.
