'Orange Is the New Black's Alysia Reiner roped in for Amazon's yoga-themed comedy

Alysia Reiner, best known as Fig in the hit series 'Orange Is the New Black', has been roped in for Amazon's comedy pilot 'Down Dog' as one of the female leads, it has been revealed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Down Dog' centers on Logan (Bad Teacher's Josh Casaubon), a surfer devoid of ambition who has been sliding through life using his charisma and good looks, who is forced to take life seriously when he's left in charge of his ex-girlfriend Amanda's (Paget Brewster) yoga studio.

Reiner will play Gabrielle, a healer who also works at the yoga studio as office manager, who is a warm, earth-mother type and is threatened by Logan and his close relationship with Amanda and doesn't miss an opportunity to subtly sabotage him.

Robin Schiff created the project and will pen the script, while Brad Silberling will direct the pilot and Nikita star Lyndsy Fonseca co-stars as Winter, a yoga instructor.
