The Australian media has praised some of its players for their performances in the Ashes series including Chris Rogers, Steve Smith, Ryan Harris and Ashton Agar.

According to news.com.au, Rogers is a permanent fixture now in the team and Steve Smith too, with his maturity, was close to a permanent place.

The report said that Ryan Harris had been the standout bowler in the series while Nathan Lyon was unlucky to lose his place in the beginning of the tour.

However, the report added that players like Usman Khawaja, Phil Hughes, Brad Haddin, Ed Cowan, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, James Pattinson and captain Michael Clarke had failed to impress.
