Pakistani civil prisoner Syed Sajid Ali Bukhari on Tuesday was repatriated to Pakistan through Attari-Wagha border after 23 years.

He was arrested in 1995 and was lodged in Srinagar jail.

His national status was confirmed in 2006.

He was facing charges under Sec 302 and 307 Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) and Sec 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.

Jammu and Kashmir State Ranbir Penal Code or RPC is a criminal code applicable in Jammu and Kashmir.
