Pakistani special court has sought the investigation report of the high treason case on former President General Pervez Musharraf to examine allegations that he was being victimized alone.

Meanwhile, head of the prosecution team Mohammad Akram Sheikh said that the interior secretary had not accused Musharraf, instead it was the investigation team that had fixed responsibility on him for imposing the emergency in 2007, Dawn News reports.

Musharraf's counsel had alleged before the court on Tuesday that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had singled him out among many who could be held responsible for imposing emergency on Nov 3, 2007.

Advocate Anwar Mansoor Khan also alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had animosity with his client.

He also said that the prime minister had not consulted the federal cabinet before forwarding the matter of setting up the special court for the trial to the former chief justice.

However, Sheikh said the constitution of the special court and appointment of its judges had been made in accordance with the rules and relevant laws.
