Pakistan's Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from the Punjab Government regarding the petition that challenged the detention order of alleged Mumbai attack master mind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.

According to the Express Tribune, Lakhvi has been previously charged with masterminding the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Lakhvi's counsel said that the home department cannot detain a person for a fourth time without presenting him before the LHC review board.

He argued that under the law the government was bound to produce the petitioner before review board, the only forum to decide the detention matter.
