The Pakistan Prime Minister Office is considering a move to take up the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement about the creation of Bangladesh and "Indian interference" in the country at the United Nations.
According to the Dawn, in his speech delivered at Dhaka University last month, Modi publicly accepted the Indian Government and its people's role in the creation of Bangladesh in 1971.
A close aide to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the issue was discussed at the Foreign Office last week with Pakistan's representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi.
Most of the people at the meeting believed that the issue should be taken up with the UN.
