Pakistan violated the ceasefire, once again, on Thursday in the Pargawal Sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistani troops fired at Indian posts, leaving two people injured. One of the injured is a woman, and has been taken to a local hospital.

Further details are awaited.

There has been no improvement in the situation along the Line of Control in the recent past even after the meeting between the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan.

In the September 29 talks between Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif, both sides had agreed that improving the situation on the LoC is the 'precondition' to 'forward movement' in the India- Pakistan relationship.

Moreover, at the meeting, the leaders of both countries decided to task the Directors General of Military Operations on both sides to prepare a strategy for effective restoration of the ceasefire along the LoC.
