Pakistan has formed a committee to probe alleged funding of politicians by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The Interior Ministry said that the four-member committee, formed over the Supreme Court's directives, will be headed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Assistant Director General (ADG), Muhammad Ghalib Bandeesha, along with three director-level officials, the Daily Times reports.

The move comes after Pakistan's retired military officer and peace activist Asghar Khan alleged that ISI distributed 60 million rupees among the politicians to manipulate the 1990 general elections.
