A Panaji Special court on Monday rejected the bail plea of former Goa Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Churchill Alemao in connection with the Louis Berger bribery case.
Alemao was arrested on August 5, by Crime Branch and is presently in judicial custody.
After the court granted anticipatory bail to former chief minster Digamber Kamat in the same case on Wednesday.
Alemao again applied for the bail a second time, which was rejected today by the special court.
The Crime Branch of Goa Police has already moved the High Court challenging the anticipatory bail granted to Kamat in the Louis Berger case.
