The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the official sanctioning body of professional golf in India, will be staging the inaugural Paramount Golf Foreste Delhi - NCR Open Golf Championship 2018 at the Noida Golf Course from April 17 - 20, 2018.

The tournament, which is the seventh event of the PGTI's 2018 season, carries a prize money of Rs. 30 lakh.

The tournament will feature some of the top professionals of the South Asian region such as Indians Shamim Khan, Himmat Singh Rai, Viraj Madappa, Honey Baisoya, Amardip Sinh Malik and Shankar Das. The golfing event will also see Sri Lankans Anura Rohana and N Thangaraja along with Bangladesh's Md. Zamal Hossain Mollah. Prominent players Australian Kunal Bhasin and South African Damian Naicker are also part of this golfing extravaganza. Professional golfers such as Jyoti Randhawa and Arjun Atwal have earlier played in the PGTI before making it big in the international arena.

"The sport of Golf, besides having its importance in the world of sports has attained its own importance in the corporate world also. In no time, it has become popular amongst the top business executives. Besides giving a green carpet to the golfers, a golf course also gives a platform for laying the foundation of various corporate deals. Estate developers, more particularly Paramount Group, had taken the concept of Golf and developed a themed project Golf Foreste, a lifestyle project developed in approximately 90 acres Lush Green Township, with modern amenities such as well designed and spacious Villas, Apartments, Studios, and Office Spaces," said Ashwani Prakash, Executive Director, Paramount Group.

"Golf is something we have promoted at Paramount Group from the very beginning and infact our projects bear testimony to it. We take pride in organising an event of this magnitude in Noida which will not only see a lot of professional golfers visiting the city but also give a chance to budding golfers to interact and learn from them," he added.
