Paris Hilton has hit back at her ex-boyfriend Nick Carter after the Backstreet Boys star suggested that dating the reality TV socialite at the height of his drug abuse issues was a terrible idea.
Carter has opened up about his past substance abuse hell in his memoirs 'Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It', and he also talks about his regrets about getting involved with 'The Simple Life' star almost a decade ago in 2004, Contactmusic reported.
Now, Hilton has responded by releasing a statement, saying that she doesn't believe she was a negative influence on Carter.
