The Chief Justice of India, R.M Lodha, said Friday that he hopes the judiciary, the executive and parliament are allowed to work without any interference.

Speaking at a function organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association, Chief Justice Lodha said, "The constitution makers ensured that all three vital organs of the state operate in their respective fields without encroaching upon the other's domain and area. I am sure, all of us, people in judiciary, the people in executive and the people in parliament are mature enough to have mutual respect for each other and ensure that each organ is permitted to work within its sphere unhindered."

Lodha was speaking a day after Parliament passed the Judges' Appointment Bill by a voice vote.

Justice Lodha also stressed on the need for using technology more effectively to ensure a quick disposal of cases.
