'Paro' to get makeover in Sudhir Mishra's 'Dasdev'

New Delhi, Dec 5 (ANI): Sudhir Mishra, who has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming flick 'Dasdev,' a flipped version of 'Devdas,' has revealed that the 'Paro' character in his movie is going to be quite unexpected.

The award winning director, who is known well for portraying women characters in a bold and tough role told ANI, "I have never seen a passive woman in my life. I have known woman who can leave you, who are not dedicated to me and I have never even seen a woman who will allow me to have a control over her. So, that's how I have grown up and that's the reason behind my strong female protagonists. Even in my upcoming film 'Dasdev,' 'Paro' will be seen in an entirely different light unlike she has been portrayed in other versions of original 'Devdas.'"

'Dasdev' is a flipped interpretation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 'Devdas,' wherein the slave becomes a noble man unlike the usual story.

The script is Sudhir's tryst of understanding the thirst for power in humans. It stars Richa Chaddha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Rahul Bhat, of "Ugly" fame, in the lead roles.
