Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday was administered the oath of legislatorship in a brief ceremony in the state assembly.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane also took the oath.
The oath of the leaders was administered by Speaker Pramod Sawant.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the MLAs, including Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar.
Parrikar had resigned as Rajya Sabha MP earlier on Saturday.
"I am back to the original place. My priorities are already decided as Chief Minister. Priorities as MLA will start today," Parrikar told ANI.
"I will start making Panaji as a model city and same principle will be used as model for other cities to be upgraded," he added.
