Paul McCartney recently said that he is glad that he repaired his friendship with former band mate and friend John Lennon before his death.

Whilst remembering Lennon on his 34th death anniversary, the 72-year-old musician asserted that it would have been the worst thing in the world to have this great relationship that then soured and he gets killed, CNN reported.

The former Beatles member added that there was some comfort in the fact that he and Lennon got back together.

McCartney also added that he was shocked when Lennon was shot dead.
