Pebble has introduced a new smartwatch called "Pebble Time" on kickstarter that has made five million dollars in just half an hour from pre-orders.
The company's repeated success has started a debate that it is too successful to turn to a crowdfunding site.
According to Tech Crunch, it has a week-long battery life and features a slimmer and sleeker design.
The hardware has a full colour, always on e-paper screen. It is 20 percent thinner than the original Pebble and supports customer watch faces but the emphasis is now shifted to notifications.
The smartwatch is named 'time' because time is the central idea on the device, eschewing individual apps in favour of a timeline that displays most pressing notifications.
It also has detachable straps, 22mm thick which can be easily changed which comes as the proprietary strap used on the Pebble Steel, which limited customizability.
