NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, in his letter to Huffington Post, has made it clear that neither his father or people associated with him possess any special knowledge of his situation after individuals 'misled' the media in printing false claims.

According to The Huffington Post, Snowden said that neither his father Lon Snowden, his father's lawyer Bruce Fein, nor Fein's wife and spokeswoman Mattie Fein represent him in any way.

Snowden further explained that none of those associated with him have been or are involved in his current situation and has asked journalists to understand these individuals do not have any knowledge about his current or future plans.

He further asked the media to not exploit the tragic vacuum of his father's emotional compromise for the sake of tabloid news.

The statement came in light of the claim by Mattie Fein who said that Lon Snowden's legal team doesn't trust columnist Glenn Greenwald, the journalist at the center of the NSA story or WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy organization that has advised Snowden in Russia.

Fein had also claimed Greenwald was trying to shop around an exclusive interview with Snowden for seven figures.

Snowden who has been granted a temporary asylum in Russia faces US espionage charges for leaking highly classified data about its secret surveillance programs.
