Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Thursday said that the people of Bihar are helpless in a system where law and order is of an abysmal standard.
Rudy told ANI, "Bihar is like this, no one can say much about it, and we feel so helpless in the system that exists in Bihar. When the state sponsors crime, the state sponsors and supports people who are into criminal activities, specially those who are big and strong, powerful and close to the quarters of power, it is very unfortunate," he said, while responding to the decision of the Patna High Court to grant bail to the May 2016 Gaya road rage case accused Rocky Yadav.
"Well the accused has been given a bail, it is clear case where the prosecution in Bihar, for such offenders getting a bail is a rule because state hardly moves for a prosecution or the councils work hard for that and such criminals go scot free is very common in Bihar," he added.
In the Gaya road rage case, accused Rocky Yadav, son of JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi and dreaded gangster Bindi Yadav, had gunned down 16-year-old Aditya Sachdeva who had allegedly overtaken Rocky's SUV while he was coming back home from a birthday party.
When Aditya and his friends had overtaken Rocky's SUV, an angry Rocky chased them and then gunned down Aditya.
After the incident, Rocky had gone on the run. Few days after the gruesome killing, Rocky was arrested by the Gaya police from a factory owned by Rocky's father Bindi Yadav.
Rocky was granted bail by the Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmend Ansari today evening.
With the news of Rocky getting bail, the family members of Aditya Sachdeva are in a state of shock.
