Peter Sarsgaard has joined the cast of MGM/Sony's remake of 1960 film, 'The Magnificent Seven,' as the bad guy.
Sarsgaard is closing a deal to play Bartholomew Bogue, a robber baron, whose hired thugs kill the husband of a woman who hires a group of mercenaries to take back the small town that has become Bogue's stomping ground, Deadline.com has reported.
The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is still one gunman short, as Jason Momoa recently walked out of the project, that also stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Haley Bennett, Byung-Hun Lee and Matt Bomer.
The movie is being produced by Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black with Walter Mirisch and Fuqua as executive producers.
