Pistorius made first call at 03:19 after he shot Steenkamp dead

The North Gaunteng High Court has reportedly heard the testimony against murder accused paralympian Oscar Pistorius that he made his first call of the morning on which he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp shortly after 03

Police cellphone analyst Francois Moller has reportedly testified that Pistorius' first voice call was at 03:19 in the early morning of 14 February last year to a number ending in 2251, which was saved on Pistorius's phone as 'Johan Silver Woods'.

According to News24, Johan Stander is the head of security at the Silver Woods estate, where Pistorius shot and killed Steenkamp, who he claims he mistook to be an intruder, through the locked door of his toilet.

Moller reportedly revealed that the phone was used for an internet connection at 03:20 followed by a call at 03:20 to 082911, an emergency services number and the call lasted 66 seconds.

Moller further testified that the call was followed by another internet connection, and then a call at 03:21 to a number ending in 6797, security at the Silver Woods estate.

Pistorius then called 121, his voice mailbox number and received a call from Silver Woods security a minute later, which was followed by more internet connection and then at 03:55, Pistorius called his friend Justin Divaris, the report added.

After a few minutes Pistorius reportedly called his older brother Carl at 04:01.

Pistorius, who has been charged with the premeditated murder of Steenkamp and contraventions of the Firearms Control Act, maintains that he mistook his girlfriend for an intruder in his home on February 14 last year and shot her dead instead, the report added.
