Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Monday accorded a ceremonial welcome in Tajikistan, where he arrived last night on the last leg of his Central Asian tour.
The Prime Minister, who is set to hold delegation level talks today with the Tajik side, will unveil a statue of poet Rabindranath Tagore in Dushanbe.
He will also have a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, following which key agreements will be signed between the two nations.
Prime Minister Modi will also gift medicines to the India-Tajikistan Friendship Hospital.
The last Prime Ministerial visit to Tajikistan was by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in November 2003.
