Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended birthday greetings to senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Kanpur MP Murli Manohar Joshi, and wished him a long and healthy life.
Prime Minister Modi took to twitter for wishing the leader.
"Birthday greetings Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi. His scholarly zeal and contribution to public life are immense. I wish him a long and healthy life," tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Joshi is best known for his views on Hindu socio-politics and for his affiliation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
He had also held the office of Human Resources Development Minister for six years, from 1998-2004.
