Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged the senior and the younger generation of the nation to come together and work for country's good.

"Policy makers in Government are relatively senior...the group I am meeting today is young. I want both to work together for India's good. I have found senior officials in the Government seeing opportunities in the new ideas shared," Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a gathering of young entrepreneurs under the 'Champions Of Change' programme organised by Niti Aayog.

He urged the people to work towards the roadmap and institutional arrangements to fulfill the ideas and even expressed regret that corruption in the country was institutionalized and said that now the time has come to change this.

"The time for middlemen is over. Middlemen are out of work in this Government and they are the ones who are most unhappy," he said.

The Prime Minister further asserted to create an atmosphere where the youngsters want to be teachers and educate others.

"We have big placements in leading business schools, the same way why can't we have placements recruiting teachers with good pay packages. n effective means to improve quality of education is technology," he said.

Promoting the 'New India' concept, the prime minister said that government efforts will not be able to bring this change. Change will be powered by each and every citizen of India.

"As CEOs, you can sit with your teams and discuss with them- what can we do for the next five years, for a New India. Every one of us is equally patriotic and wants India to scale new heights of progress. There is no difference in our love for the nation," he said.

He further said that the Padma Awards, given this year, include exemplary success stories of people who have been working silently and tirelessly on the ground.

The two-day initiative named 'Champions of Change' is to usher transformational change in the country through Government-Business partnerships was initiated by NITI Aayog.

Deliberations on building New India by 2022 started on Wednesday, with focus on growth, gender parity, skilling, agriculture development, energy, climate change, renewables and mobility by young start-up founders. Thirty nine energy companies are also participating to discuss on energising a sustainable tomorrow according to a series of tweets by NITI Aayog.

PM Modi interacted with the young entrepreneurs on six sectors, crucial to enable inclusive growth and development. The interaction focused on building New India by 2022, Digital India, energising a sustainable future, health, education and skill development.

The entrepreneurs presented papers to the Prime Minister Modi on how private sector can enable innovation, job creation and income enhancement.
