Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the new chancery complex of the High Commission of India in Dhaka.
At the complex, the Prime Minister unveiled plaques for Grant-in-Aid projects.
He also planted a sapling in the complex.
Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to twitter to share the information.
"Sowing seeds for the future. PM @narendramodi plants a sapling at the new High Commission Chancery Complex," he posted.
"Reaching out to Bangladesh directly. PM inaug 6 projects undertaken with grant in aid & interacts w/ beneficiaries," he added.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi offered prayers at the Dhakeshwari Temple in the city. He also visited the Ramakrishna Mission here.
He is later scheduled to receive the Award of Liberation War Honour on behalf of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
