Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev on micro-blogging site Twitter and concurred with the latter on lauding the efforts of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in carrying out relief operations in earthquake-hit Nepal.

"Agree with you @therealkapildev. We're proud of the efforts of our forces and other agencies. Great seeing you on Twitter. Hope you enjoy it," the Prime Minister wrote.

The former captain of the Indian cricket team joined twitter on April 25.
