At least seven Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers were detained by the police in Trivandrum on Sunday after the Communist Party of India (Marxist) district committee office was allegedly attacked by the workers today.

In the evening, stones were pelted at the office which broke the window panes and other properties.

Meanwhile, in another incident, two Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) workers were injured in a clash allegedly between the CPI (M) and the BJP workers during the former's protest march in Trivandrum's Karikkakom today.

More details are awaited.
