Police personnel carried out a protest at Patna's Police Line after their colleague lost her life, allegedly after she was not granted leave to undergo a medical treatment.
The angry protestors also allegedly attacked Mohammad Maslehuddin. the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Anjum Ara, the wife of Maslehuddin, told ANI, "The deceased personnel was a traffic cop. I do not know why the protesting police personnel attacked my husband. They also vandalised our house. My daughter was also attacked. She has sustained injuries on her head."
Manu Maharaj, the Senior Superintendent of Police, told reporters that the matter is being investigated. He assured that action will be taken against the culprit.
"We will not spare the anti-social elements. All aspects of the case will be taken into account while probing the matter," said Maharaj.
