Polling for the election of councillors of seven municipal corporations and two municipal committees in Haryana is underway on Sunday.
The municipal elections are being held in Ambala, Panchkula, Karnal, Panipat, Hisar, Rohtak and Yamuna Nagar (all municipal corporations) and Farukh Nagar (Gurgaon) and Kalanaur (Rohtak)
So far 21 to 33.87 percent turnout is reported from different places.
Over 17.08 lakh voters are expected to exercise their right to vote. The result of the polls for municipal committees would be declared this evening, whereas municipal corporation results would be announced on June 4.
